LP Tuad

LP Tuad (or LP Thuat or Thuad) is probably the most famous monk of them all.  His story is told in the video below.  Beautiful Thailand Amulets have been created by sacred magical monks in commemoration of LP Tuad who lived to the age of 100 years during the period 1582-1682 (BE2125-2225).  The most sought after are mostly made of magical clays consecrated by senior Thai monks and the Thai Royal family.

The identification of the clays used together with added sacred powders (Muan Sarn and Nua Wan), can often identify which guru monk led in the construction of the amulet.  These highly revered monks are said to have Wicha วิชาอาคม which means “knowledge” or “wisdom”; Wicha carries a deep cultural significance in Thai culture.

Muan Sarn can contain pollens, herbal remnants or even Buddha relics. Nua Wan is a powder consisting of mainly herbs and Din Kakyayaks is a particular ingredient obtained from the sacred marsh or lake of Luang Phu Tuad in Yala, know as holy earth which has been widely used in the composition of LP Tuad amulets.
