This incredible temple has a rich history with the original building of wood painted yellow ad founded by LP Wâat dating back to 1893 when he escaped the French invasion of Chanthaburi. There is a statue of LP Wâat in dark bronze – this highly revered Siamese monk was renowned for his magical healing ability.
Wat Phlong Sawai is a place of peace and tranquility where many Thai’s seek the ancient teachings of LP Wâat the great healer of the late 19th century.

หลวงพ่อวาด
There is a large 15-metre-metre-high white standing Buddha statue located here where you can climb over 160 steps adorned with bells. Once at the top you can enjoy the peaceful views across the bay and sown to Laem Mae Phim Beach.
